CPO's Supportive Services department includes AmeriCorps members who serve for a one-year term to assist us with the CPO Building Blocks program. Members receive a living stipend and also earn an educational award at the completion of their service year.

The CPO Building Blocks program is an early childhood education initiative in which AmeriCorps members work with CPO parents to help their young children (ages 0-5 years) develop early reading skills. AmeriCorps members also get professional development training through cpoWORKS, as well as support to be successful in the AmeriCorps program, and assistance finding a job at the end of the service term. CPO residents recieve priority selection for this opportunity.
